Isaiah 11.1-3a, 10 – Not much grows from an old stump. Some types of trees will grow a sprout from which the tree rises again. Isaiah 11 speaks to the coming of a sprout from the stump of Jesse. With the coming of Jesus in which we celebrate Christmas, we are guaranteed a future in the place He has prepared when He comes again for those who by faith trust in Him.
